BROUGH'S Butchers in Ormskirk made mincemeat of the competition to win three top prizes. The shop was judged the best in Britain for their traditional dry cure bacon, orchard pork loin and best-selling Italian style meatballs featuring a secret recipe sauce. Mark Shepherd, the owner of the store in Burscough Street, has worked as a butcher since he was 11. He was taken on by Brough's when he was 16.
