Crazy For You" is a single by American singer-songwriter Madonna and was released by Geffen Records on March 2, 1985. It is included in the film and soundtrack to the 1985 motion picture Vision Quest. It also appears remixed on the 1990 compilation album The Immaculate Collection and was re-released on February 24, 1991 by Sire Records to promote the album. Song History It was ranked number 38 on Vh1's 100 Greatest Love Songs, and the special revealed that 'Crazy for You' was recorded in one take. On its original release the single was backed with Berlin's song, "No More Words". The song had already been a top 30 hit in the United States (as an A-side) in 1984, and was also a minor hit in Europe. The band at the time were signed to Geffen Records, who released the single and the Vision Quest soundtrack. In February 1991 the song was re-released in the United Kingdom having been included on The Immaculate Collection. Like the rest of the recordings on that compilation, "Crazy For You" was slightly remixed and edited (in this case by Shep Pettibone and Michael Hutchinson). It was this new remix found this single release. The single cover for the song's re-release was the same photo used on the cover of the US release of "Rescue Me". The cover photograph is from the photoshoot of Madonna's controversial 1990 music video for "Justify My Love", and was taken by Stephane Sednaoui. Madonna also performed "Crazy For You" on her 2004 Re-Invention Tour, a heart-felt rendition which ...
A parody on the Vanity Fair interview with Michael Ovitz crossed with the godfather. MY DINNER WITH OVITZ A Film By Denise David and Steve Young -SYNOPSIS- The blood on the streets of Hollywood reeked of power deals, stolen clients and solid-gold parachutes. Above it all stood one man: a power broker once so powerful, his fall from omnipotence left a void nearly big enough to accommodate his entire ego. What does a man do when he faces adversity; a terrible loss; a failure of body and soul? The answer is obvious...blame everyone else. And do it publicly...in Vanity Fair magazine. Ovitz's blame list included Bernie Weinraub (NY Times writer), former partners, Rick and Julie Yorn, Jeff Kwatinetz (Limp Bizkit manager who purchased Ovitz's failing AMG) and Michael Armstrong (AT&T Chairman). But at the head of Ovitz's enemy list sits David Geffen, the so-called don of the so-called gay mafia. Ovitz believed that "...they wanted to kill him and take his kids...," No kidding Ovitz once threatened to "beat the shit out of Geffen." So what results when the blame hits the fan? Just how much can Geffen and his "soldiers", Diller, Meyer and Eisner, take? Not much it seems. Welcome to My Dinner With Ovitz, a criminal collision of Francis Ford Coppola's "Godfather" rammed headlong into Bryan Burrough's interview with Michael Ovitz in this past August's Vanity Fair. From the moment the boys hear of the Ovitz interview, through their onerous plotting and momentous sitdown between Geffen ...

He became a protégé of the late Paul C, a record producer and musician, with whom he credits for teaching him virtually everything he knows about record production as well as the associated technology used for making hip-hop music. Paul C was doing production work with Eric B. & Rakim and Super Lover Cee & Casanova Rud, and then at age 17, Large was given the opportunity to program beats for Eric B. & Rakim's Let the Rhythm Hit Em album while still attending high school. While working with Eric B. & Rakim, he discovered Nas. Art photos made using the tarot cards from the boxed set released with Cher's 1991 US edition of her "Love Hurts" cd, with her song, "Love and Understanding," from the same cd. Love Hurts was released on June 11, 1991 and was the third and final album released by Cher for Geffen Records. The cd featured production by Bob Rock and saw her continue to collaborate with John Kalodner, Diane Warren and Desmond Child. The album was recorded in late 1990/early 1991, during the first year of Cher's relationship to Bon Jovi's guitarist Richie Sambora. She dedicated the album to him and "every man that ever made me shed a tear". The album contained three covers: the worldwide hit "The Shoop Shoop Song (It's in His Kiss)" originally recorded by Merry Clayton in 1963, Kiss song "A World Without Heroes" recorded in 1980 and "Love Hurts" a remake of the 1975 version which Cher had previously recorded for her album Stars. This time the song was more pop/rock rather than a ballad. The originally version was released by Everly Brothers in 1960. The European cover of the album was different from the American release, it featured Cher laying on a white background wearing a red wig. The European release also included the world wide hit, The Shoop Shoop Song (It's in His Kiss) which reached #1 in over 10 countries and has sold over six million copies. In the United States, The Shoop Shoop Song was available only through the original soundtrack, Mermaids original soundtrack for the film of the ...
